For 50 years, Indian Cave State Park near Brownville has enticed visitors to soak in autumn’s vibrant colors along the forested bluffs lining the Missouri River. Named for the petroglyphs etched in the sandstone ledge by early American Indian tribes, the park offers many events during the fall season.

Named for the petroglyphs etched in the sandstone ledge by early American Indian tribes, the park offers many events during the fall season, including the popular Outdoor Adventure and Haunted Hollow hay rack rides.

On cool October mornings, fog often rises from the warm waters of the Missouri River at sunrise, giving park visitors another reason to stop at the scenic overlook on the park's loop road, the first being a ridgetop-view of a forest painted in fall color.
