VisitExit426.com, Partners Announce New Marketing Effort

LINCOLN – Road signs alone don’t cut it for attracting guests in today’s marketplace. If Nebraskans or tourists haven’t stopped at Interstate 80’s Exit 426 yet, they may plan to now thanks to VisitExit426.com.

VisitExit426.com is a collaborative marketing effort that has created a new brand identity for the destination. The website contains information about each attraction, including things to do, amenities and a calendar of events.

Eight partners came together to launch the project, with support and funding in part from a Cass County Tourism Grant. The partners are: Eugene T. Mahoney State Park, Strategic Air & Space Museum, Lee G. Simmons Conservation Park and Wildlife Safari, Iron Horse Golf Club, Quarry Oaks Golf Club, Carol Joy Holling Center, Cellar 426, and Round the Bend Steakhouse.

“Our goal is to provide visitors with the up-to-date information they are looking for, as well as showcasing the endless possibilities, whether they want to get away for a few hours, a day, a week, or longer,” said Angela Roeber, director of marketing for the Strategic Air & Space Museum. “VisitExit426.com will be up to date with events and new content.”

The website is the launching point for the partners’ many future marketing initiatives. Some additional planned projects include directional signage, a passport-type program, more videos and joint events.

“By working together, we are able to accomplish more for tourism and economic development than we are able to do on our own,” said Christy Rasmussen, communications director for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. “Each partner in VistExit426.com has something unique to offer for families, people looking for adventure, relaxation, getting in touch with nature, dining, or even hosting large events.”
