New Outdoor Education Center Grand Opening June 7

LINCOLN – The public is invited to the grand opening of the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln on June 7. The event at 4701 N. 44th St. will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those who attend the grand opening can try the center’s indoor shooting range and indoor and outdoor archery ranges free of cost. Refreshments will be available while supplies last.  The Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center is shooting sports recreation center that focuses on the recruitment of youth, families and special interest groups to this sport.

The center features indoor and outdoor archery and firearm ranges. It has rentable classrooms and is home to Game and Parks’ hunter outreach, as well as hunter, bow hunter and boater education programs.

The indoor facilities are open Monday, Tuesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. The outdoor ranges are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Daily and annual passes may be purchased.
