I got a phone call a couple of weeks ago, a request. It was one of the folks from Nebraska public TV’s Backyard Farmer. Somehow they had my name and wanted to know if I would film a segment on native fish people could put in their backyard ponds. I told them I was in no way an expert on backyard ponds, but I was honored they asked, and if they wanted to talk about some Nebraska fish in those ponds instead of Koi and goldfish, well sure, I could talk about that. Here you go. . . .
Backyard Farmer is a very popular show on Nebraska public TV. I am not much of a gardener or work any more than I have to about my lawn or landscape, but I know a lot of folks religiously watch Backyard Farmer and I even tune in on occasion. The folks on that show are experts in their field, very “down to earth”, and passionate about what they do. It is entertaining and educational to watch. If you do not know what you are missing, follow the link, Backyard Farmer , and you can watch entire episodes on-line. They also have a FaceBook page where you can pick up some show segments and more content, FaceBook–Backyard Farmer.
I have been on In-Fisherman TV, but that was nothing. Now I have been on Backyard Farmer–now that’s “big time”!
