23 years of Firsts – Becoming an Outdoors-Woman

The 23rd Annual Nebraska Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Weekend took place this past weekend in the Nebraska National Forest – Bessey Unit, near Halsey, NE.  What a tremendous weekend it was, too.  Some great October weather was made even better as 110 adult women came together to talk nature, conservation, fishing, hunting and shooting. You can check out some pics from this weekend on the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Nebrask Facebook Page.

With 65% of the women attending for the first time most were trying something for the first time. In fact, each year new sessions are added to allow more opportunity to step outside a little further for those returning to event.  This year the gals had the chance to take part in an actual dove hunt during the weekend.  Yes, an October dove hunt and we saw some doves.  Hats off to the ladies that were brave enough to give this first-of-its-kind  session a whirl.
