Big Game Meetings Scheduled Across Nebraska in December

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission invites hunters and landowners to attend a public informational meeting in December to discuss big game issues. Meetings are scheduled in each Game and Parks district.

Game and Parks biologists will explain and take questions on several topics, including deer management, deer damage and depredation permits, antlerless harvest, trophy management and diseases. Antelope and elk issues may be discussed at meetings located in areas where these species occur. All meetings begin at 7 p.m.

The meeting schedule is:

Dec. 9 – Chadron, Chadron State College, Scottsbluff Room, 1000 Main St.

Dec. 10 – Omaha, Scheels at Village Point Plaza, 17202 Davenport St.

Dec. 11 – Auburn, Nemaha County Fairgrounds 4-H Building, 816 I St.

Dec. 15 – Ord, Valley County Extension Building, Fairgrounds, 801 S St.

Dec. 15 – McCook, Red Willow County Fairgrounds Community Building, 1400 W. 5th St.

Dec. 16 – Oshkosh, Eagles Club, 201 Main St.

Dec. 17 – Kearney, Yanney Heritage Park Environmental Resource Center, 2020 W. 11th St.

Dec. 18 – Columbus, Isaak Walton League lodge, intersection U.S. Hwys. 30 and 81
