Omaha Deer Check Station Update

Just a short note to let you folks know that we in the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s Omaha Office will be checking in deer from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST  during the 9-day regular firearm deer hunting season. Our new location, 8495 Frederick Street, is located about 1/4 mile north of I-80 on 84th Street behind the Bucky’s Gas Station in the Frederick Plaza. The phone number is 402-595-2144. Here’s the front of our office.

Please note that Van Fleet Meats in Ralston, NE will no longer be checking in deer. For a current list of 2014 November firearm deer season check stations and regulations, click here.

Remember, immediately after the deer is taken, the first thing you do in the field (before field dressing the deer, loading it and bringing it to a check station), is to properly cancel your permit.
