Don’t miss my Weekly Outdoor Report tonight on Omaha’s WOWT-TV/Channel 6 when we take you to a state recreation area near the Omaha-metro to show you where you can go to view and photograph wild Canada geese (and perhaps a few wild ducks). You’ll be able to view them up-close from sunrise to about 9:30 a.m. and then from just after 3 p.m. to sunset in the open water and on the ice at a couple of the sandpit lakes on the area. Here’s a quick sample of what you’ll see.
Where do you think we’re going? Take a guess.
Tune in and learn more about this neat wildlife viewing opportunity this Thursday evening LIVE during WOWT’s 6 p.m. CST sports segment with Ross Jernstrom and I!
If you’re unable to view the live broadcast of the report, take note that video replays of it can be seen after the initial cast at this link. It can also be accessed on Digital Channel 6.2 and Cox Cable Channel 120. Additionally, Channel 6 runs The Weekly Outdoor Report on Saturdays later in its hour-long 8 a.m. CST newscast. Thanks for watching and don’t forget your park permit, buy it ahead of time!
