LINCOLN – Home-schooled students interested in learning or advancing their skills in archery are invited to an open house Feb. 19 at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln.
The free open house is from 2-4 p.m. at the education center, which is located at 4703 N. 44th St. Equipment will be available for use. For more information, email ngpc.outdoored@nebraska.gov.
The family-friendly education center is open to all shooters and archers and offers a wide range of workshops and other activities for youth and families, as well as hunter education classes. The indoor ranges are open Friday through Tuesday. The outdoor archery range is free and open every day from sunrise to sunset.
All current military personnel and veterans get a 50-percent discount on lane fees each Monday in February. Seniors ages 60 and up get the same discount on Fridays.

Feb. 17 – Handgun Fun Shoot, $20, 6 p.m.

Feb. 22 – Archery 101: Know Your Bow Workshop, $30, 7 p.m.
