Outdoor Adventure Coming to Indian Cave State Park April 18

LINCOLN – Indian Cave State Park near Schubert will host the 4th Annual Outdoor Adventure and Mushroom Run/Morel Mile on April 18. The annual Outdoor Adventure event showcases unique and fun outdoor opportunities available at Indian Cave State Park throughout the spring.

Runners can take in the spring sights and sounds of Indian Cave State Park during the scenic 5K Mushroom Run or the 1-mile Morel Mile. Registration for each race is $20 before April 11 and $25 after. A pancake breakfast and T-shirt are included with registration.

Other scheduled events include a mushroom hunt contest, fish fry, glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, hayrack rides, archery, kids’ horse rides, raptor recovery exhibit, fish tank, Dutch oven cooking demonstrations, bee keeper, kettle corn, cider press demonstration and a Half-Price Youth Lifetime Permit drawing.

Advanced registration is required for the Mushroom Run and Morel Mile and is available at OutdoorNebraska.org. A park entry permit is required for each vehicle entering the park.
